PREFACE

Computing has attracted considerable interest from many researchers and communities in recent decades. The field of computing is also growing very fast. New invention and innovation are updated in a short period of time, i.e., only in several months. As a result, an article that was published in three years ago has been rendered as an obsolete article. To present the latest results in the area of computing, IndoJC  Volume 1, No. 1 presents 9 articles that can be grouped into 3 categories, i.e., Network and Security, Software Engineering and Theory of Computation Methodologies.

In the field of Network and Security, we present four articles; they are “Elementary Algorithms Analysis of Megrelishvili Protocol”, “Optimasi Jaringan Sensor Nirkable Menggunakan Algoritma Two Sub-Swarms PSO Diskrit”, “Perancangan Simulasi Jaringan Virtual Berbasis Software-Define Networking” and “Performance Analysis in Web Based Data Uploading using LZ77 Compression and Chunking Method”. The research results in the field of Software Engineering are also very fascinating. “Perancangan Software PDU Encoder dan PDU Decoder untuk Layer MAC WiMAX” and “Rekomendasi Perancangan Arsitektur Enterprise Pascamerger (Studi kasus: Universitas Telkom)” are two articles that are falls in the category. Last but not least, three articles, i.e, “Pemodelan Dan Simulasi Produksi Biogas Dari Substrat Glukosa Menggunakan Anaerobic Digestion Model No. 1 (ADM1)”, “Implementasi Algoritma Weighted Moving Average Pada (Fuzzy EAs) Untuk Peramalan Kalender Masa Tanam Berbasis Curah Hujan” and “Prediksi Crash Saham Menggunakan Log Periodic Power Law dengan Non Linear Optimization (Studi Kasus:Pasar Saham Indonesia)” will provide new information in the field of Theory of Computation Methodologies.

There are many efforts have been devoted to publish this issue. We received supports from several parties, such as School of Computing – Telkom University, Dit. PPM - Telkom University, and IJoICT team– Telkom University. In addition, volunteers from many universities (Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Trunojoyo, Universitas Jember dan Universitas Telkom) also helped us to review the articles that we received. For the reason, we would like to express our gratitude to our reviewers: Dr. Adiwijaya, Dr. Agus Zainal Arifin, Dr. Arif Muntasa, Dr. Eng. Ayu Purwarianti, Dr. Dana S. Kusumo, Dr. Deni Saepudin, Harry Budi Santoso, Ph.D., Dr. Maman Abdurohman, Dr. Moch. Arif Bijaksana, Rimba Whidiana Ciptasari PhD, Dr. Satria Mandala, Prof. Slamin, Ph.D., and Dr. Eng. Wisnu Jatmiko for their commitment in reviewing the articles. We also say thanks very much to our editorial team in IndoJC, i.e.: Annisa Aditsania, Aniq Atiqi Rohmawati, Gia Septiana, Hasmawati, Widi Astuti, Danang Triantoro Murdiansyah, Nungki Selviandro, Mohamad Syahrul Mubarok, Eko Darwiyanto, Catur Wirawan Wijiutomo, and Said Al Faraby. Without them this issue in this volume would not have been possible.

Finally, we are waiting for the participation of researchers in the area of computing for the next issue of the journal.
